About 600 people were evacuated from the AMC Rosedale 14 theaters in Roseville on Sunday night after a small dumpster fire touched off the complex's fire alarm system.
The theaters remained closed for the evening after the 6:35 p.m. incident, but will reopen Monday morning, a theater employee said.
"No one was in any danger," added police Sgt. Matt Brake.
He said the fire was confined to the dumpster in a loading dock under the theaters.
The theater employee said the cause was not known.
