The northern Great Plains and Upper Midwest might as well be located at theNorth Pole Sunday and Monday. In a word, it will be frigid. During the period,it will be below zero continually, and overnight, temperatures will be in the20s and 30s below zero.This is a monster arctic air mass, and it will have far-reaching impact nextweek from the Great Plains to the Eastern Seaboard.

With all the cold weather that has occurred so far, it is hard to believe thisair mass will bring even lower temperatures, but it probably will.
