Three years, three shots, three deer. That's how Allie Skoglund, 26, of Minneapolis, summarizes her success over the past three deer seasons. She grew up hunting with her father and still treks to her parents' land near Black River Falls, Wis. She shot this whitetail there while her husband, a non-hunter, sat next to her in a tree stand. The buck came up over a ridge about 9 a.m. on opening morning during high winds. She dropped it with her .243 Browning rifle from 75 yards away.
