A shortage of house listings is good news for Twin Cities home builders. With house listings at the lowest in more than a decade, a growing number of frustrated house hunters are visiting their local home builder. The Builders Association of the Twin Cities said today that the number of new single-family houses planned for the Twin Cities was up nearly 27 percent in the Twin Cities metro. And because two new apartment buildings in downtown Minneapolis were permitted during the month, the number of planned units to be built in the metro increased more than 100 percent.
