Residents of southeastern Texas and lower Louisiana saw snow Friday, and forplaces like Houston, this has been the earliest snow on record. A light tomoderate amount of snow will fall through the Deep South Friday night, causingslippery travel. The storm will then turn its attention on the Atlantic statesSaturday.Heaviest snow from the storm is still expected to fall from western NorthCarolina into the western part of Virginia. As of yesterday, we weren't surehow far north the storm would come, but it's now becoming obvious that it isgoing to snow all the way to southeastern Maine.

This is not expected to turn into one of those full-blown nor'easters withcrippling amounts of snow inland and strong gales on the coast. However, therewill be enough snow in a big enough area to cause significant travel delays.
