Sylvia Woods, the queen of soul food, whose restaurant Sylvia's has been a cornerstone in Harlem since 1962, died last week. The nearby Apollo Theater gave tribute to the restaurateur (above). Sylvia's, at Lenox Av. near 127th Street in NYC, was seen in Spike Lee's film "Jungle Fever." Tourists, celebrities, politicans and locals frequented the spot.
