A U.S. Army Veteran raised his gun to rescue a flapping eagle entangled in a tree just a few days before Independence Day, according to a Facebook post from his wife. Jackie Gervais Galvin of Rush City, Minnesota, wrote on her Facebook page that her husband, Jason Galvin, has the "best story of a lifetime" after his 150 carefully-aimed bullets freed the bird from about four inches of rope that had snagged its talons in a tree.
