Minnesotans will hear tornado sirens at 1:45 p.m. and 6:55 p.m. today. It is only a test, as part of Severe Weather Awareness Week.
No actual severe weather is anticipated.
The sirens will be preceded by a practice tornado watch issued by the National Weather Service at 1 p.m.
Sirens usually sound for about three minutes. There is no such thing as an all-clear siren.
