In case you forgot, these are the four pitchers who made the first four starts in April of 2012 for the Twins. Yes, that's less than a year ago. Are they cursed? You decide.

Carl Pavano: Had injury-plagued season, went into this offseason as a free agent, ruptured his spleen shoveling snow a couple weeks ago.

Francisco Liriano: Struggled mightily before being traded to the White Sox. Was a free agent in the offseason. Reportedly suffered a bathroom fall this offseason, leading to a break in his non-throwing arm and delaying a contract with the Pirates that is still not done.

Anthony Swarzak: Modest success as spot-starter/longman in 2012. Suffered two fractured ribs in horseplay-related incident at TwinsFest, as reported Wednesday, despite Troy McClure's repeated speaking out against horseplay.

Nick Blackburn: Went 4-9 with a 7.39 ERA last year; has had two surgeries this offseason, including a recent one on his forearm.

We're not saying, we're just saying. If you made a start for the Twins in 2012, watch out. Jason Marquis was the fifth pitcher to make a start. Has anyone checked in on him lately? Things worked pretty well after the Twins dumped him, but you never know.
