The day will start out with a mix of clouds and sunshine in the Northeast.However, hit-or-miss showers and thunderstorms will dampen a good portion ofthe region this afternoon.
With ample moisture flowing up the Eastern Seaboard, drenching thunderstormswill soak the I-95 corridor southward from New York City. While these stormswill not be severe, they will still be capable of producing flooding downpoursand vivid lightning.
