Santa wasn't there, but there was plenty of holiday spirit at the St. Nicholas Dinner at the Marriott in downtown Minneapolis. Guests were treated to a reception, dinner and dessert as well as stories of hope and recovery. The annual event, which celebrates the work of Catholic Charities in the Twin Cities, brought out many prominent guests, including the mayors elect, Melvin Carter (St. Paul) and Jacob Frey (Minneapolis).Catholic Charities serves those in need — whether because of abuse, illness or homelessness — and advocates for justice.
