Dozens of churches, schools and government buildings across Minnesota plan to ring their bells at 3:53 p.m. Wednesday in memory of the victims of Haiti's earthquake one year ago. The ringing will last 35 seconds, the duration of the quake, at places including Minneapolis City Hall, the Cathedral of St. Paul, and Carleton and St. Olaf colleges in Northfield, Minn.
