A childhood cancer diagnosis is devastating for parents as well as the child receiving treatment. For Brooklyn Vaith, the battle started at age 2. As her treatments went on for 859 days, she inspired her family — and many others — with her resilience as she demonstrated "that a positive attitude can beat even the deepest, darkest pain." As Brooklyn and her mother completed the Great Cycle Challenge, her story reminded onlookers of the importance of the Children's Cancer Research Fund, beneficiary of the event.
