Tuesday: Twin Cities fans might remember Muse opening for the Chili Peppers and Foo Fighters in 2000, but they have yet to see the dramatic English rockers' own hi-fi arena-headlining setup, a glitzy visual spectacle that has made the band a major player in Europe and earned it top slots at U.S. festivals this year. Muse plays here on its way down to next weekend's Austin City Limits Festival. Yet to make much of a stateside impact beyond the stage, Muse and its frontman, Matthew Bellamy (Kate Hudson's new squeeze, above), have developed a cult following with their flashy blend of Queen, Coldplay and Radiohead sounds. It's definitely a band that thinks big. Squeal-voiced, dorm-room-bred electronic act Passion Pit opens. (7:30 p.m. Tue. $45-$55. Target Center, 600 1st Av. N., Mpls. 1-800-745-3000.)
