North Dakota State rallied from a three-point halftime deficit to defeat St. Thomas 73-64 in a Summit League men's basketball game Thursday night in Fargo, lifting the Bison (13-16, 10-7) into third place in the standings.

Grant Nelson scored 20 points for North Dakota State. Andrew Rohde led St. Thomas (18-12, 9-8) with 20 points.

St. Thomas set a Scheels Center/Bison Sports Arena record with 46 three-point attempts. The Tommies made 12, for 26% shooting.

• The St. Thomas women's team lost to visiting North Dakota State 64-44. Elle Evans had 17 points for the Bison (17-10, 11-6 Summit). Maggie Negaard scored 14 points for the Tommies (11-16, 6-11).

In other women's games:

Zia Cooke scored 19 points and Kierra Fletcher had 15 as No. 1 South Carolina (28-0, 15-0) spoiled Tennessee's pack-the-paint strategy in a 73-60 victory that clinched at least a tie for the Southeastern Conference regular-season title. ... Angel Reese posted her 26th double-double of the season, scoring 23 points and grabbing 18 rebounds as fifth-ranked LSU (25-1, 13-1 SEC) beat host Vanderbilt 82-63. Reese pulled within one double-double of matching Sylvia Fowles' single-season school record of 27 set in 2006-07. ... Haley Jones scored 13 of her 23 points in the two overtime periods and No. 3 Stanford (27-3, 15-2 Pac-12) held off host No. 21 Colorado 73-62.

In men's games:

Jalen Pickett scored 21 of his 23 points in the second half, Seth Lundy added 19 points and Penn State (17-11, 8-9 Big Ten) beat host Ohio State 75-71. Brice Sensabaugh scored 20 for the Buckeyes (11-17, 3-14).

• Alabama freshman Brandon Miller scored a career-high 41 points in a 78-76 win over South Carolina on Wednesday night — one day after police said he delivered a gun ahead of a fatal shooting that took place near campus in mid-January, and hours after the university said he'd remain an "active member" of the No. 2-ranked Crimson Tide and is not considered a suspect.

Authorities say Miller is allegedly connected to the shooting death of 23-year-old Jamea Jonae Harris last month.
