A Minneapolis man contacted Whistleblower to complain about Chanhassen-based Life Time Fitness's online "$0 enrollment fee" membership deal. Only after Michael Barr clicked through a few screens and found the terms and conditions did he discover a $129 administrative fee, he said. "This is blatant bait-and-switch and false advertising, in my opinion," Barr said. Life Time Fitness spokeswoman Karen Jayne Leinberger said the "joining fee" consists of two fees: enrollment, which pays for advertising and marketing, and administration, which pays for computers and office staff. Fees are disclosed in membership contracts, she said, and there's a 14-day money back guarantee. What do you think?
