Sally forth

Rejoice, college students and nostalgic alums. Endeared Stadium Village bar Sally's Saloon has reopened. After more than 20 years of pouring pitchers, the popular bar near the University of Minnesota closed in July 2013 to make way for a mixed-use student housing complex. But nearly two years later, Sally's has returned to usher the next generation of 21-year-olds into their formative drinking years. Sally's is run by folks from the After Midnight Group (Cowboy Jack's, Cabooze), and a few items from Jack's dot Sally's new food menu.

Beefcake's got talent

Have you ever gazed at a hunky-firemen calendar and wished Mr. October would spring from the page in a choreographed dance number? Well, that's pretty much what Hunks the Show brings to the Mystic Lake Showroom on Saturday. The Las Vegas troupe's beefcake hits the stage for a variety show featuring comedy, acrobatics, vocal performances and more. Think shirtless Calvin Klein models-meet-"America's Got Talent."

7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. May 9, $19-$27, 18-plus, 2400 Mystic Lake Blvd. NW., Prior Lake, 952-445-9000, www.mysticlake.com

Community-supported brewery

The new 56 Brewing in northeast Minneapolis differs from other breweries because of its model mimicking CSA (community-supported agriculture) farms. Drinkers buying into its CSB (B for brewery, duh) program at various levels receive beer shares and first dibs on limited releases. Led by Kale Johnson, 56 Brewing moved into NorthGate's old 750-square-foot space and added a garden. There's no taproom, but drop in for growler and bomber sales.

5-8 p.m. Fridays and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays. 3134 NE. California St., Mpls., 612-404-0056, www.56brewing.com

Beer, bikes and block party

The Fulton Brewery crew hosts its annual bike ride and block party Saturday at its northeast Minneapolis site. Registration is closed for the morning ride, but the less sweaty portion commences with the release of Fulton's Randonneur summer saison, food trucks and live music from What Tyrants, BBGun and Solid Gold. Whether or not you do the 100-mile charity ride, entrust your two-wheeled steed to the bike valet.

2-9 p.m., May 9, free, all ages, 2540 NE. 2nd St., Mpls., www.fultongranfondo.com
