The opening night after-party for "Hot Funky Butt Jazz" at the Guthrie Theater featured a New Orleans-style speakeasy, complete with Creole-themed hors d'oeuvres, a cash bar and "hot" music led by jazz trombonist Delfeayo Marsalis. Proceeds from the party benefit Interact Center for the Visual and Performing Arts, the mission of which is to create art that "challenges perceptions of disability."
