Gov. Mark Dayton is expected to address participants of the 8th Annual Muslim Day at the Capitol on Thursday, according to event organizers.
The group will gather in the Capitol rotunda to listen to Dayton and other state leaders, who are expected to encourage Muslim constituents to be actively engaged in politics.
The event, organized by the Muslim American Society of Minnesota, begins at 10 a.m. at the rotunda. The group is also expected to hold appointments with elected officials afterward.
