A low pressure system originating from Scandinavian has caused some miserableearly spring weather for the area.Temperatures have not been above freezing since Thursday and the area has seenhigh winds, gusting to nearly 70 mph at times.

There is 13 inches of snow currently on the ground and the city has beenaffected by snow squalls that dropped an inch of snow both on Wednesday andThursday.

Overnight lows have dropped as low as 14 degrees. For comparison sake, theaverage high and low temperatures for this time of year are 38 and 23respectively.

There is good news, however. After another very cold day Saturday, temperatureson Sunday and Monday should moderate. Another cold front will causetemperatures to take another tumble on Tuesday.
