A man from Minneapolis walking across a north metro highway disobeyed a "Do Not Cross" sign and was struck by a car and killed Monday, the State Patrol said.
Patrick Sundance Mack, 35, was hit by a northbound motorist on Hwy. 252 near Brookdale Drive about 5:35 p.m. He died at the scene, said Lt. Gordon Shank.
The northbound lanes of the highway were closed for a few hours as the patrol investigated the crash.
The Brooklyn Park police and fire departments also responded to the crash.
The driver who hit Mack, Kelly Marie Spring, 37, of Maple Grove, was not hurt, the patrol said.
