Can the Eagles break through?

The bend-but-don't-break Patriots defense might be at greater risk of having its remarkable season crushed Sunday if Carson Wentz were still the Eagles quarterback. The Eagles' red-zone touchdown rate of 66.7 percent was tops in the league during the regular season. Wentz started the first 13 games before a knee injury ended his season. Since Nick Foles became the starting quarterback that rate has dropped to 57.1 percent, including playoff games. That number would have ranked 11th best this season. Mediocre might not be good enough to beat the Patriots, who have been giving ground to opponents all season, but not too much.
