Evergreen foraging

Evergreens are not just for beautifying your yard. They are also a source for medicine and food. A course on foraging evergreens for tea and edibles will share how Nordic cooks have used these plants to brighten flavors and experiment with recipes. Participants will make pine-infused vinegar, juniper salt and hot tea. Founder of Four Season Foraging, Maria Wesserle, also will warn about which evergreens to avoid, and which ones are good for harvesting. 1 p.m. Jan. 19. $40, to register call 612-729-9333. Norway House, 913 E. Franklin Av., Mpls. ingebretsens.com.
