A woman was shot to death late Saturday in southeastern Minnesota, authorities said Sunday.

The Wabasha County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call about 10:50 p.m. in rural Zumbro Falls and found an unresponsive 34-year-old woman. They attempted to revive the woman, but she was declared dead at the scene, authorities said.

No arrests had been made as of Sunday. Authorities had not yet released further details about the death.

Several friends posted messages of mourning and identified the woman as Mary Tesmer.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension was assisting in the investigation.
