Lakeville North started Wednesday's baseball game against New Prague with the bases loaded in the bottom of the first inning after their game the day before was suspended because of thunderstorms.

Braden Walsh quickly knocked Patrick Timmer home, which proved to be lone run in the Panthers' 1-0 win in the Class 4A Section 1 semifinals Wednesday. Collin Denk pitched a two-hitter and struck out seven.

Hopkins 2, Minneapolis Southwest 1: Rafael Lewis supplied the Royals with their only two runs on a double in the bottom of the second inning of their Section 6 semifinals win. Jake Perry went 2-for-3 and scored a run.

Chanhassen 5, Prior Lake 2: A four-run first inning boosted the Storm to a win over the Lakers in the Section 2 quarterfinals. Carson Hake led Chanhassen with two RBI, Tommy Heiland and Cade Plath had one RBI each. Tommy Thompson pitched seven innings to get the win.

Minnetonka 12, Bloomington Jefferson 0: Aaron Wukmir and Christian Cote combined to shut out the Jaguars while allowing four hits to lead the Skippers in the opening round of the Section 2 playoffs. Jarod Wandersee went 3-for-4 with three doubles and four RBI.

Cretin-Derham Hall 10, White Bear Lake 0: Tommy Cummings led the Raiders with a three-run homer in the Section 4 game. Jake Christianson added a two-run home run.

Softball

St. Anthony 11, Mahtomedi 8: Josie Donaldson hit a three-run, walkoff homer to send the Huskies to the Class 3A, Section 4 finals against Hill-Murray on Thursday.

Edina 8, Wayzata 7: The Hornets bested the Trojans by a single run for the third time this spring, ending Wayzata's season in the Class 4A, Section 6 playoffs.
