Significant snowfall will target the Ohio Valley into West Virginia andsouthwestern Pennsylvania through Monday night. Three to six inches of snowwill pile up over much of this area, with up to 10 inches in the mountains ofWest Virginia.Monday night and Tuesday, the snow will shift northeastward into New England.

As much as 10 inches of snow will bury a swath from western Massachusetts tocentral Maine through Tuesday. Warmer air in front of the storm will limitsnowfall to a coating to an inch along the coast of southern New England andthe mid-Atlantic. Still, roads in these areas could still become slick in spotsMonday night.

Unlike recent storms, this one will spare the big I-95 cities of its worst snowwith about an inch or two from Philadelphia to New York. Marginal temperatures,mixing with rain and lower overall precipitation, will all serve to limit theamount of snowfall.
