News from the University of Minnesota's Medical Devices Center:
The university's Institute for Engineering in Medicine (IEM) is hosting its IEM Showcase on Sept. 11, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the university's McNamara Alumni Center in Minneapolis. The event currently is being planned. Officials say it is a great networking opportunity for researchers in medicine and engineering, as well as medical device manufacturers, law firms and members of the investment community.
During the program, university researchers working on devices being developed for market will present hands-on demonstrations of their work. The institute is seeking corporate sponsors, exhibitors and current university students interested in participating in the symposium's poster session. This year, the IEM is awarding three $100 prizes and one $200 prize to top-performing students.
