Three people were wounded, none seriously, in a spate of shootings across Minneapolis on Thursday that left police with more questions than answers.
In the most recent incident, a Minneapolis man was outside the Hard Times Café, a popular late-night eatery at 1821 Riverside Av., when someone he knew opened fire, police said.
The shooting happened between 10:58 and 11:58 p.m., the victim later recounted to police. His injuries were not life-threatening.
The man, 26, gave police a description of the suspect, but no one has been arrested.
At 9:15 a.m., a 29-year-old man was shot in the "left back side" after being confronted by two suspects, who fled before police arrived, an incident report read.
The shooting occurred in a first-floor apartment in the 500 block of 15th Avenue.
The man lives in the same building. Police have not said what prompted the altercation that led to gunplay.
About noon, a northeast Minneapolis man was shot while driving in the area of Olson Hwy. and N. Morgan Avenue, according to police reports.
The victim, 28, drove himself to a nearby hospital after being struck by two bullets, police say.
His vehicle later was towed to the city's impound lot and some of his property collected as evidence, but it wasn't immediately clear whether police have any leads.
No charges have been reported in any of the shootings.
