Robert Klick (or was it an Irish Elvis?) was giving fans high-fives along the route of the 48th annual St. Patrick's Day Parade on Monday in chilly downtown St. Paul. Above, 4-year-old Declan Cusick walked the route along E. 5th Street with his mom, Wendy Cusick. The popular parade, sponsored by the St. Patrick's Association since 1967, might have been one of the last ones actually held on March 17. City officials are pushing to switch the parade permanently to Saturdays to draw more people and to make it more family-friendly, although die-hards strongly disagree.
