The U.S. Supreme Court has declined to consider a case testing a Minnesota law that bans the wearing of buttons or clothing with messages that election officials deem too political within 100 feet of a polling place, The Christian Science Monitor reports. Arguing that the law violates free speech rights, a number of conservative political groups, including the Mounds View-based Minnesota North Star Tea Party Patriots, filed the original suit.
