My Sunday column described the ordeal of Scott Williams, a mover and seasonal cotton field worker who had an unfortunate stay at the InTown Suites in Coon Rapids. A fire in a room upstairs left his own room and everything in it soaked. Innkeepers are understandably shielded from significant liability from their guests' personal items - otherwise, how many would say their Ming vases and Rolexes disappeared from their bedside? But the InTown Suites muckety mucks have promised to make Williams whole.
