Fickle weather drove Design Goes to the Opera inside the Mill City Museum, but it certainly didn't diminish the fun. The fundraiser for the University of Minnesota's Goldstein Museum of Design offered backstage tours of Mill City Summer Opera's "The Daughter of the Regiment," which was held in the Minneapolis museum's courtyard ruins. Guests had an opportunity to see costumes and props. Models wearing ensembles by U design students mingled with party guests as singers from the opera performed and the sounds of string instruments filled the lobby.
