Former Vikings coach Mike Tice won't be leaving the Chicago Bears. The Chicago Tribune reports the Bears have denied a faxed request by the Tennessee Titans to interview Tice for their vacant offensive coordinator position. Tice just completed his first season as the Bears' offensive line coach. The Tribune reported Sunday that new Titans coach Mike Munchak was interested in meeting with Tice. Tice has never served as an offensive coordinator and being in that job might have helped him get a second chance as a head coach in the NFL. Although Tice was denied the opportunity to possibly get a promotion, teams are required to give permission only if an assistant has a chance to interview for a head coaching job.
