It was the end of "The Road" Saturday night in Edina, when a power outage stopped the screening of that movie and others just after 10 p.m. at the Edina Theatre near 50th St. and France Av. Moviegoers waited while theater workers sought to fix the problem under emergency lighting, but the power was out in much of the shopping-and-entertainment district, including nearby bar/restaurants Salut and Edina Grill, which shut down after running for a few minutes on generators. Eventually, the Edina movie theater issued vouchers to disappointed moviegoers in a lobby lit only by backup lighting. One theater employee said that the theater had been having ongoing problems with electricity, which is why the theater's marquee lights had previously been turned off. This morning, employees at the Edina Grill said power was restored in the restaurant.
