Photo by Persea Erdrich By Rohan Preston A stage version of Louise Erdrich's "The Master Butchers Singing Club," her 2003 novel about life in Argus, N.D. from World Wars I to II, will premiere at the Guthrie Theater in September. Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Marsha Norman ("'night, Mother") has been tapped for the adaptation. She teams with director Francesca Zambello ("Little House on the Prairie") for a show that kicks off the new Guthrie season. No casting has been announced although Twin Cities performers Norah Long, John Catron and Katie Guentzel participated in early workshops of "Master Butchers."
