Just got back from a small tournament I fished on Ottertail Lake, MN. Interesting lake with a ton of structure where this was the first time I've ever been on the lake before. I primarily fished deeper humps and points with Lindy Rigs and X-Change jigs. Wrong move for me. I should have been pitching X-Change jigs into the weeds shallow. Several nice fish were caught with this tactic. Oh well... good lesson learned.
Now I am preparing for the BIG tournament - the last regular season FLW tournament on Lake Winnegago. This is the one where I need to finish well in order to win the Angler of the Year title. I am leading points for now and have a pretty good lead on the rest of the field. Wish me well and I am planning on doing what I need to do... Win Angler of the Year!
