Africa Zoologist Dawn Walker hand fed leaves to Zawadi, an 11-year-old male giraffe, and Sweta, a 12-year-old male, at the Minnesota Zoo's Africa exhibit, which opened for the summer last week. The temporary exhibit, which the zoo has also offered in some past summers, also includes ostriches, bongos, wildebeest, addax and guinea fowl. Visitors may even get the chance to feed the giraffes. This summer also marks the return of an animatronic dinosaur exhibit at the Apple Valley zoo.
