If it seems like fireworks have been around since the United States has been a country, it's because they have. Early settlers brought their love of fireworks with them to the New World, and made them part of the first Independence Day. The rest, as they say, is history. Fireworks have come a long way since the days of John Adams, but they're still impressive, and still an integral part of our July 4th celebrations. Thanks to these readers who sent in pictures of their favorite sparklers.
