Black-throated Blue warblers can be seen in Minnesota. They nest in small numbers along the North Shore. I photographed one there six years ago, three bad and blurry exposures taken during a heavy rain. Ever since, I've wanted a second chance. That came early Wednesday evening at Magee Marsh, a wildlife area on the Lake Erie shore east of Toledo, Ohio. The bird was with me for about five minutes, moving in leaf-less branches, often at eye level. I also have shots of the female. Birding is wonderful in Minnesota right now, from what I've been reading on email. But today, it's great to be in Ohio.
