You can't beat the restaurant rooftop film screenings at Brit's Pub or Solera for snacking opportunities, and the summer-long offerings from the Minneapolis Parks & Recreation Board make great neighborhood get-togethers. But the best in al fresco film-going is the Walker Art Center's Movies and Music in the Park. The films range from silent classics to European favorites, selected to play off a theme. (Last year's "In Dreams" series featured Hitchcock's "Spellbound" and the zany Jerry Lewis comedy "Artists and Models.") There's always live music from local or international musicians and it's always free. Starting in July in Loring Park. 612-375-7600, walkerart.org
