What started as a nudge by friends to sell her goods on Etsy has turned into a full-blown career for Minneapolis designer Lisa Hackwith. A relative newbie to the design world, Hackwith didn't start sewing until after she graduated from college. Now, the self-taught designer has a workshop in south Minneapolis that's bursting with drool-worthy wearables: loose and cool jumpers, dip-dyed tops, light and silky tunics, and bleach-patterned maxis. The best part? Hackwith's designs are totally accessible and you won't see your friends wearing the same shear kimono. Find these one-of-a-kind pieces locally at Mille, Parc Boutique and Cliché, or online at hackwithdesignhouse.com
