Michele Bachmann's first official act upon returning to Congress from the presidential campaign trail was to join in a largely party-line vote Wednesday disapproving of President Obama's debt limit increase. The vote was all but ceremonial, set up by last summer's debt limit deal that allows for the president to raise the limit as needed to pay the nation's bills, and for Congress to register its disapproval. The Democratic-led Senate is not expected to follow suit. The disapproval resolution passed the House with a vote of 239-176, with all eight members of the Minnesota delegation voting along party lines.
