U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann denied a Boston Globe story suggesting that she is in talks to get behind the presidential campaign of former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, who is rallying today in Minnesota. "Let me be absolutely clear -- there are absolutely no negotiations between me and the Romney campaign regarding any pending endorsement of Governor Romney," she said. "I continue to speak with all the candidates and plan on uniting behind the presumptive nominee. The Boston Globe article today is completely false and I call on the Globe to retract their article." The unsourced Globe story suggests that a Romney endorsement would help her pay off debts from her own presidential campaign, much as the Romney camp has helped former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty retire some of the debt from his presidential campaign.
