Before the dogs days of summer comes the dog — and cat and rabbit and hamster — day of spring. That's when pets and their attendant humans flocked to the Animal Humane Society in Golden Valley for the Walk for Animals. The annual fundraiser benefits the nonprofit's goal to raise $ 1 million in 2015 to help homeless and neglected pets across Minnesota. The event started with a 2½-mile walk and concluded with a pooch-filled party that included live music, food trucks, photo booths and plenty of furry fun.
