A Rogers woman was charged Thursday in the death of her boyfriend, who died Feb. 26 of a methadone overdose.

Raina Lee Nelson, 32, was charged with second-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter in the death of Jeremiah A. Blackledge, 35, of Rogers, according to the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office.

Police and emergency medical personnel responded to a report of a man who wasn't breathing in the 21000 block of Maple Avenue in Rogers. Nelson was at the residence and identified herself as the victim's girlfriend. Blackledge was taken to a hospital, where he died.

Nelson later told detectives that she had purchased and stolen several doses of methadone and given them to Blackledge.

Nelson is in custody at the Hennepin County jail with a $500,000 bond.
