Rob Fraboni, producer of the soundtrack to "The Last Waltz," will speak at a screening of the movie tonight at the Parkway Theater in south Minneapolis. The film begins at 7 p.m. and Fraboni will speak afterwards. Admission is $10.

In addition to "The Last Waltz," Fraboni has worked on projects with Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, the Rolling Stones, U2, Joe Cocker, Bonnie Raitt and George Harrison, among others. Fraboni was the best man at Clapton's first wedding and he is Keith Richards neighbor in Connecticut. Fraboni learned the trade as a teenager by crashing sessions by Phil Spector and receiving electronics lessons from a friend's dad.

By the by, Fraboni is also one of us, sorta. His parents are from the Iron Range and met in Hibbing. But Rob was born and raised in California.
