When we heard Jean-Paul Gaultier was going to do a line for Target, we thought, finally! Lethal cone-shaped Madonna-on-tour bras will be affordable enough to wear to the PTA meeting. But the notorious Gaultier, whose rep runs from rascally (trying to popularize man-skirts) to don't-go-there going there (being photographed sporting fake blood and bruises next to Rihanna-beater Chris Brown), has a much broader range than street punk/space creature. His Target collection, equal parts sassy and sweet, includes these two contrasting looks: A shortie moto jacket with fetching details (at $200, pricier than most Target designer items but worth it) is paired with two tanks ($25 and $20) and tattoo-print mesh leggings ($25) featuring enough muted color to avoid seeming garish. The other is a strapless black dress ($60) is layered over a lingerie-thin green polka-dot slipdress ($35). Available March 7 through April 11 only.
