Did you know there are roughly 20 species of warblers migrating through Minnesota right now? Some of those 20 species spend the majority of their day high in the tree tops, or hidden in heavy vegetation. Thus they are difficult to view or photograph. But, on cool spring mornings when insects gather near the warm ground, so do the warblers and other birds that feed on those insects. I photographed a redstart on a 40 degree morning a few days as the colorful bird garnered its breakfast.
