There was no scoring through two periods Tuesday night at Xcel Energy Center as the Wild struggled to get back into the series with the Blackhawks, trailing two games to none. But a four-goal outburst in the third period had the record crowd of 19,416 screaming in delight and eager for the next game of the series Friday night. Ilya Bryzgalov had 19 saves for the shutout as the Wild posted a 4-0 victory over the defending Stanley Cup champions.
