A few assorted concert announcements today: The Scissor Sisters will finally return to town Sept. 4 to perform at Epic in support of their fun new album, "Night Work" (tickets go on sale Friday for $27). After a rather ho-hom set at Taste of Minnesota over the weekend, the Walkmen have booked an Oct. 15 gig at the Cabooze with the incomparable Japandroids opening (tickets on sale now for $15). And First Ave has some cool new shows on the books for the fall, the most promising of which is Of Montreal with Janelle Monae on Sept. 23 -- two outrageously fun live acts on one night. Also look for Ratatat there on Sept. 11 and Social Distortion to return Oct. 19. Click here for info on all those gigs.
